Yesterday, I went to Blues Fest with Lynda and got a "Goddess Make-over" at the Venus tour bus. I sat down and a lady worked on placing make-up on my face for about 15 minutes and such. When it was done, Lynda was like "Aw, you're cute. She did a good job." And Lynda was looking quite lovely herself.
Then, when I went to rinse my face off, at the end of the day, I realised that I didn't even look like I was wearying anything. Quite interesting, none of us looked like we had make-up on, but were glowing in our own radiance, in belief that we were ultimately pretty now.
Maybe a lady doesn't need 20 layers of make-up to be seen as beautiful, no?

Everything would be quite different if we each did not have a support group at our sides.
Restlessness. . .
"Thoughts do not die, though sometimes they change their forms of expression or fall into a long sleep-"
Just read this article:
And I'm still wondering, if the majourity of Americans are more pessimistic about the war in Iraq than ever, why was Bush re-elected?
" 'It appears that Americans are coming to the realization that the war in Iraq is not being won and may well prove unwinnable,' said retired Army Col. Andrew J. Bacevich, a professor at Boston University. 'That conclusion bleeds over into a conviction that it may not have been necessary in the first place' "
Hey ladies, remember those times when we were all about inner beauty and prostitution and strip-clubs were completely ridiculous and repulsive? What happened to that? Why has doing strip-aerobics become cool?
I feel as if I've been lied to. Because there use to be a time when pleasing men in such sexual ways was vain and rubbish, because such things had the tendency of leading to adultery. So, naturally, I too believed that such behaviours were to be shunned, along with the Bible condemning similar actions.
And if strip-teases aren't so totally wrong anymore, along with the Playboy symbol starting to have its own honorary spotlight, will prostitution also fall under an "It's Okay" category? I mean, come on, we're only trying to bring out our femininity and feel that we're worth something, right? . . .
Alright, alright, I will admit that at one point in time, I did want a pole, but I never said that I would use it to entertain. I clearly stated that it would be a fun away to build up strength, corny and completely sounding like a lie, but True. . . Anyway, I take back ever wanting one, it's just another tool used to secretly make me and other women only worth anything in a man's world, by how well we can seduce and entice. I know that I don't have to be seductive, in order to be loved, and also that I don't need to be.
But truly, I'm not trying to make it seem that poledancing and strip-teases are super popular, but if it's on Oprah, I know something has Got to be up. . .
It's completely understandable for the U.S. to send troops to Afghanistan because of the "War on Terrorism." Come on, the Taliban lives there. . . However, it makes Noooo sense to have focused so suddenly on Iraq and "free" those people. Firstly, is present-day Iraq safer and better than it was before America came to free it? : :I highly doubt there need be any reason to respond: : Hussein did not present as much danger to the citizens of Iraq as their Anti-Americans have and do.
And why is it that you hear more stories about the "war" in Iraq than in Afghanistan? I mean, come now, this isn't even a "War" and especially not on "terrorism," unless one is to say that all Iraqis and afghans are terrorists. . . Well, might as well say all of the Middle East and Muslims, because I'm not the only one who knows how people : :cough: :amercians: :cough: : can get. Okay, maybe not All, but surely way too many. I mean, seriously, why do you think so many voted for Bush's re-election as "president"?
It feels like the Europeans conquest throughout the world during the early centuries. Man, and their reason was religion, while today, the reason is freedom, freedom of fear and terror. Yet, I can only understand such a thought when the leaders negotiate and converse and even debate about it, for over long periods of weeks until a compromise is formed. Not with threats, troops, guns, and kicking someone out of their land and then causing a mockery of human rights and freedom for over, what how long has it been. . .3 years? After bombing a country and practically allowing the real threat to flee? Now that's rubbish!
Now, something I really want to know is why the U.S. is in Iraq, why its troops went to Iraq, when they think they'll be leaving and what they feel they are forming for the citizens of that country and the image they are making for themselves for the rest of the world to see. As for me? I still see some of the images of fat, greedy, greasy, balding, men in suits screaming for things they want and using up what they need like having a water fight in the desert, when it comes to U.S. politicians. It's a pity that the smart ones really can't ever be in control, because the deceitful, greedy, ones seem to have all the connections.
Not saying that I want a "perfect" world, but I'd like someone powerful in Washinton to change some of the foolish ideas and plans of the Whitehouse. One of the speakers at Lynda's graduation said that on that day, over a thousand commencement speeches were being told, from Big Bird about Sesame Street to George Bush about Washington D.C. Yet, cynical people would say the only difference was because one dealt with a fantasy world of childish play and the other was a television show. I can't deny how brightly I clapped in concurrence.
And then, why half the world isn't "aiding in this war" is because they aren't being feed evasive speeches on what's going on in Iraq and can actually see all that's happening there. Seriously, how many are going to bet that Bush will list all the mishaps that occurred during the battling. . . Battling of testosterone and egos. . . Yeah, the Pentagon and other US politicians won't be so easy to tell the country the Full story as those in Europe will. Man, I think we're screwed and may all die by bombs by some foreign country that's just had enough of all this "War on Terrorism" kaka. . . God save us, and I mean All of us, it's not a prayer for the US or Iraq alone, for once. . .
It's a beautiful thing when someone of great education speaks out stories, hilarious stories, about their past and give ausie advice, and Everyone in the audience is listening. Everyone is watching and laughing, at the right moments, and taking heed of the free news being given to them by someone they know and respect and will miss shortly.
It's just in my blood to love education, in which I greatly do. I love to learn, I just despise being told how to learn and being given a rubric and told to read a story and fill out a questioner about it. All those "assignments" are bull and a waste of life, They are what suck the fun out of education and attending school.
I would rather go to class and give a report on something I just found out, from a news report or books, instead of write an 8 page paper on a writing prompt on a story I just finished, and the rest of the world thoroughly knows about, that's the type of thing that makes me dread class.
~~(Veers off)Oh and then all the fools of the schools make me want to break something. They feel so cool, when, in fact, they're one of the stupidest ones around and with those actions will never get out of the poverty circle, permanently. Want to know how so?
Well, let's say that your parents want to move to a better town, that's cool. Yet, it's different when they can only move to a place they can afford, which turns out to be ridiculously similar to the town you just left. And then moving just becomes moving into a town you never lived in before, but still hang around the same type of people, for almost the rest of your life. Why? Because that's how Poverty Circles work, if you can't make the mulah to get out, you really will not ever get out. [Later on in tonight's post, I'll give even better facts about the War on Terrorism that the Whitehouse and Pentagon don't seem to ever get a finger on. Man, the lies to keep a ridiculous lie alive are rubbish. . . Ciao For Now]~~
Back from a lovely trip to the Northwest side. . . The Aurora side. Took my placement test, met a Diverse group of people, chatted, attended one of the Best banquets of my life, so far that is, and practically cried during Lynda's graduation from the big IMSA. : :sheds a spirit tear and smiles: : It's been a blast and I can't wait for my time to shine and meet all those professors. I'm not even joking, Every teacher at IMSA has at least written one book on whatever field they have a doctrine in and are all Super geniuses that would flunk Speech team but rule the rest of the modern world. Oh man, I Have to tell you all about some of the history teachers, they are just Hilariously Great man.
But ah. . . since I'm kind of like "eh. . . heh heh, 'I like to move it, move it. . . Me like to, move it!'" I'll just leave a Virgo horoscope, it was quite interesting today. I say we all should just listen to its words, even though not All of us are Ah-some Virgos.

The stars are telling you to accept gracefully the things you can't change, to have the courage to change the things that you know must, and to develop the ability to tell the difference. It's understandable that this can all seem a little bit confusing, especially at first -- after all, that's a pretty tall cosmic order you've got to fill. Fortunately, however, you've got the wisdom and perceptiveness to be able to see it through, and then some."
